We live in and take an active part in our community by caring for generations of patients. Since 1944, our dental professionals have operated our family-owned business and are residents of the area themselves; you can count on our team to care for you like they would for their own children or loved ones.
Jack Teplin graduated from Marquette School of Dentistry in 1944, after attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He opened his dental practice in the Milwaukee area. Such is the beginning of a family legacy.
In 1972, Stan Teplin, Jack’s son, graduated from the Marquette School of Dentistry after attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After a two-year stint in the Air Force, Stan joined his father’s practice in 1974. The practice was renamed Teplin Dental Clinic.
In 1980, Marc Jacobson, Stan’s brother-in-law, graduated from the Marquette School of Dentistry after attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Marc joined the family practice in the newly opened Mequon office located in an old farmhouse on Port Washington Rd, just north of Donges Bay road. The practice was eventually renamed Comprehensive Dental Services in 1983.
In 1997, Stan’s son, David Teplin graduated from the Marquette School of Dentistry after attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison and joined the practice.
In 2020, Dr Mikaella Sabinash joined the team as a graduate from Marquette Dental School. We have the pleasure of having her on our team, born and raised in Mequon and a Homestead graduate.

Stan has the unique perspective of being both the father, brother-in-law and son in his role in the business. “With my father, he was the mentor, and the reverse happened with Marc and my son. Although we all learn from the past generation, the energy and new thought brought by the youngest member always infuse higher awareness of techniques in a profession that is evolving. On the other hand, the importance of dealing with patients in a kind an appropriate manner are often handed down by the older generation. I hear my father’s thought and professionalism in my own conversations and now I hear the same thing when David talks and explains conditions or procedures to his patients.” Stan’s pride is evident.
